Spontaneous Living Print

“Ordinary life does not interest me. I seek only the high moments. I am in accord with the surrealists, searching for the marvelous. I want to be a writer who reminds others that these moments exist; I want to prove that there is infinite space, infinite meaning, infinite dimension.”
― Anaïs Nin

Living spontaneously isn’t making hurried decisions, but rather leaning into the adventure of everyday life. It’s letting the moments of an extraordinary life guide you. Which at times can be equal parts terrifying, and equal parts exhilarating. Minutes of fear, inadequacy, mild happiness, and dejection, don’t interest me. Rather, living extremely when it comes to feelings of love, happiness, sadness, and relations, and letting it encompass you fully. Let it be the rushed blood humming through your eardrums and the panicked feeling of looking down on top of a mountain. Using the wax medium and a specific and sharp red hue palette, I depicted that wave of spontaneous living washing over life.
